The idea to create Neuva Aesthetics/Neuva Wellness was inspired by our desire as physicians to improve and enhance the way people look and the way people feel. We are very excited to be able to introduce to this community new technologies and treatments that have the ability to impact the lives of our clients more effectively and safer than what has been available through traditional medicine. We are passionate in our quest to help women regain their “swag” and empower them to conquer the world!

What is the meaning of the word NEUVA?
We created Neuva from the Spanish word Nueva, which is the feminine form of Nuevo. The word Nuevo is defined as something new or renewed, a fresh start. We think that describes the essence of Neuva Aesthetics. It also represents what the centerpiece of Neuva Aesthetics, ThermiVa, can do by renewing the appearance and function of the vagina. Most women experience increased tightness and sensation as a result of their improved and “neuva-ginas.”

Neuva Aesthetics offers many complementary treatments which help defy the aging process by tightening the skin and removing wrinkles, killing fat cells and promoting weight loss, and improving sexual function and orgasmic potential.

Neuva Wellness focuses on bioidentical hormone pellet therapy for both women and men, safely restoring hormone levels to what they used to be. This results in increased mental clarity and focus, sense of well-being, sexual desire, energy and other functions needed for a happy and healthy life.

About Us

The mission at the Women’s Care Center is to provide compassionate care of the highest quality by always placing the well-being of their patients above all else. Having served on numerous committees dedicated to improving healthcare, they are well known in the community for being passionate advocates for patient safety and unwavering voices for the rights of every patient.

Dr. Walker and Dr. Shakespeare provide individualized, patient-centered care. They have learned the art of medicine by listening to their patients and then applying the expertise that is developed through years of experience. Their patient care outcomes and quality metrics have always been among the highest in the area because they always pay great attention to the smallest of details.

To expand our services, we have added Neuva Aesthetics. We are the first office in Bakersfield to offer ThermiVa® radiofrequency technology for non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation and tightening. We also offer Pelleve (pella-vay) skin tightening, BOTOX® and fillers, weight loss treatments, bioidentical hormone replacement, body contouring and surgical cosmetic feminine procedures. To whom it may concern,

My name is Olivia. Unfortunately, I have suffered from extreme vaginal dryness for years. I have tried over the counter products like Crème De La Femme, Replens, Vagisil Pro Hydrate, you name it, I have tried it. I have also used prescription creams like Estrace and OstaDerm-V. The latter did help a little. My life was getting pretty miserable because urinating was painful, I had to just dab with a moist cloth to avoid bleeding. My vaginal tissue, the labia folds, had so many tiny cuts from being dry, I didn’t even want to have any intimacy with my husband. It would mean pain and bleeding for hours during and after. Needless to say, my sex life was at a complete standstill. Everyday activities, like wearing underwear or jeans were uncomfortable. My labia and vulva were red, painful, and itchy. I wouldn’t leave home without Vagisil in my purse, if I bothered to leave home at all anymore. To make matters worse, I suffer from Sjoren’s Syndrome, which makes any lubricating duct stop producing moisture. Ugh!! Can you tell I was desperate and in pain every day?! At my doctor’s office, I picked up a pamphlet and what I read gave me a glimmer of hope.

Thermiva is a procedure that aims at restoring vaginal rejuvenation and restoring moisture. Oh my goodness. Mv first treatment was about 25 minutes and I left the room needing a panty liner. I actually had vaginal discharge that I haven’t seen in years. The itching and pain was better and subsiding. By the time I had 3 treatments, my private parts were actually healing! No downtime. I had little pain and bleeding during the procedure, but I think that was because my tissues and uterus were so ridged and dry. Three treatments later, the tiny cuts on my vulva and labia were gone, the extreme itching subsided, I stopped buying Vagisil in bulk, I could urinate without wincing in pain, and my marital intimacies were restored. My husband and I didn’t think we would see that again. Dr. Walker patiently talked to me about why she invested her time in even offering this procedure to her patients. I had three sessions done and a fourth one six months later. It is recommended to have one treatment every 6 months to keep everything working. I would definitely recommend this treatment. It was worth every penny! Do not be embarrassed or more importantly be in pain anymore. There are doctors who can help and want to. Dr. Walker is one of them and I am happy she has cared enough about women and this part of their lives to educate herself and offer a treatment that works.
